Maiden flight of motor and 3d print assembly – very smooth and quiet. No vibrations at all. The baseplate is a 2cm thick piece of steel plate; the motor is fixed using threaded rod through the plate and replaces the bolts holding motor together. There is a neoprene rubber gasket between it and the plate to remove vibration as well as heavy duty rubber stoppers underneath. The spine is a solid carbon fibre rod attached with a 8mm to 5mm coupler at one end, and a 5mm x 10mm bearing mounted in the top beam.
