Fine tune you body awareness with this slightly tricky exercise. Lots of problems in the upper back area can be explained with lack of movement in the shoulder blades, here we teach the shoulder blades and the surrounding muscular and facia tissue to move freely without restriction. The result is a sense of release in the entire upper back!
-Keep an eye on your arms, try to keep them at the same level throughout the exercise.
The science behind it: small movements can activate more, or different muscles fibres than those usually activated when we make a movement. This strengthens the nervous connections between the brain and the body. Small, articulated movements also train our body awareness and awareness of the subtle changes of the body.
